Do the Defenders have the electrical 4x4 assistance that the discovery has?

IE My 2001 Discovery 2 TD5 has no manual central diff lock (just hi/lo ratios), instead it has electricaly controled Traction controle and Hill Decent controle working within the ABS system. Is this the same on a 2001 Defender TD5. Or is everything controled mechanically in the traditional way?

My Discovery also has a hydraulic anty roll assist. Is this on the Defender too?

I believe it was optional for the Defender TD5.

It's all good old fashioned levers. less to go wrong.

defenders with abs have t/c not all do though

My defenders got no abs/traction control or even anti roll bars. Better off road than my disco which had t/c but no cdl
