Every time i turn on my headlights my drivers side, side indicator comes on, it does not flash just stays on.
It also looks like it is taking some power away from the divers side headlight too.
The passenger side is perfect.
Can anyone help with this problem?

thanks, stuart.

I have the earth bolted to the inner wheel arch and the black wire heading through the bulkhead. these seemed to all have good conections.
is there another i may have missed?

Is the inner wing connection good?

Check the block connector on the main light.

Also is the earth on the bulkhead ok? or damaged wire?

This will be a pain in the arse.

Okay thank you i will have another go tomorow.
thanks for your help.

I spent six months tracing an earth fault on mine which only got resolved by using professional test equipment. Earth faults can be caused by things you wouldn't dream of checking. For instance my problem was my wipers coming on when I turned the headlights on, indicated left or switched main beam on. The cause: A bad earth between the wiper stalk and washer bottle!
Good luck fella and try and stay sane!

just run some new ones - pointless waste of time looking for the point of failure

I ran new earths everywhere but it made sod all difference ... the reason ... because I didn't know where the point of failure was so I totally disagree mate!

Does it flash normally without headlights on? Just wonderin' if ye've stuck a wire in the wrong connector... just a thought;):D

with the greatest of respect, anyone who spends 6 months failing to resolve a earth fault doesn't inspire confidence in ones competence

When I said six months I didn't mean I stood on the drive for 175 days trying to fix it! I kept going back to it to try new things. As for your rudeness ... swivel pal. :multiply:

Okay thanks for all your help.
i did have a little play with it again today, but no luck. SO i got an auto electrician and he fixed it in 20 mins!!! with a little gadget detecting the fault. only cost me £15 :)
