Hi,

Dose anybody know how to upgrade the seats from my heated manual seats to full electric seats with airbags?

I have a H on my Becm but the only thing I don't understand is where the yellow cables go from the seats and seat belt I spoke to wills and he mentioned about the the SRS but now I'm baffled....

Please help me if you know how I can resolve this issue or shall I scrap them and get some more???

Many thanks in advance

Forget the side airbags, they are useless, just leave them disconnected
(this also means the pre-tensioners will not operate).
If you feel you must connect them, you will need a new SRS ECU and the correct loom to connect the seats.
The airbags will be time expired and need to be renewed in any case.

Oh I can just leave them disconnected then, that's good will the electrics in the seat still work? And also one last thing will I need to fit my old seat belts if I don't connect them up?

Seats will work fine as will the seat belts, you just will not have the exploding seat belt pre tensioners or side airbags. Take it from me the side airbags are useless, I popped on on mine when I slid into a ditch on ice, it blew the seat to bits but the bag went into the rear compartment offering no protection at all. I have disconnected mine.

I am in the middle of changing my seats my range rover is a 1998 and the seats I got are from a 2000 the seat belt reals and receivers are different and will need to be changed over change them before you fit the seats unlike me, ye you will be fine without the side airbags pluged in as already said not worth haveing them there

Superb thanks guys, your help has been great my only problem now is how to get the seat belts slack lol, but I'm sure I'll work that one out...... I hope.

Thanks again guys, I thought I had wasted my money such a relief

Undo the 17mm nut at the top of the b pillar then undo the seat belt real at the bottom of the pillar then off the seat that's how I did mine

Yeah they are all ready out, the problem I have is trying to get the slack to re fit them, at the moment Im driving about with no seat belts which ain't great.... I don't want three points, but even worse sods law states I'm gonna have an accident the more I risk it lol

i have just had a look at mine and its says L is that compatable with electric seats or am i looking at the wrong bit ( it says becm its the bit just behind where the fuses go on the side of the seat panel and has a landrover badge)

L means it's a Lo line BECM, does not support electric seats as far as I know.
You are looking at the right bit.
If you can manage without the memory function you can fit electric seats using relays to interface the seat switches to the motors.

That be alot of work
Would it not be easyer to swop to bases onto your manual frames?
