Just a quickie.

I made my own egr blanking plate, fitted it between the flexible pipe and the inlet pipe. Is this the right place to fit it? and are there any further mods.

Hasnt currently made any difference:rolleyes:

Ps - I know there are threads on this but cant find the answers im after;)

You don't say what vehicle this relates too ???

If it's a TDi300, then you need to get rid of the EGR valve itself along with the pipework and replace with a new rubber or silicone top hose.

To feel the full benefit you will need to clean out the intercooler, with something like petrol or white spirits.

It's similar with a TD5 but more so. The EGR valve creates an obstruction in the inlet tract so it needs to be gone !!! Ditto re the intercooler.

See linky: EGR Blanking Kits

If it's a TDi300 the best mod I've done by a mile is de-catting the exhaust downpipe. Cheap and easy to do, very obvious benefits.
