The plug is mostly irrelevant. We used to just make a small plate of metal to replace the gasket/spacer with and a little exhaust sealant gooped on to stop leaks. Looks unmolested on the outside (keeps the grownups happy), but stops the nightmare of them getting gunged up. Mil vehicles spend most of their lives idling, so the EGR is a very common fail point.Hi I have a defender wolf and am considering removing/blanking the egr however there is a electronic control unit fitted so I'm guessing its not a strait mechanical exercise. Any pointers gratefully received.
Thanks
Stuart
Removal of emissions equipment may cause issues at MOT time, I doubt that there is any real benefit in removing it.
