Whilst waiting for other parts i decided to do a EGR delete simple easy way and cheep i removed the EGR cleaned it found to repair washers the same size as the inside of the small pipe from the exhaust joined them together sealed with exhaust paste refitted EGR and the clamp after sealing the joint. Small ball bearing down the rubber vac tube job done EGR is still visible for MOT but deleted. Ok i have not removed the insides of the EGR as yet but will do to improve the air flow any criticisms welcome

It the engine is one of those which decides to do the 2k misfire with the EGR blanked, you might want to reinstate it again.

Best thing I ever did was remove the EGR in the old TD4

A new lease of life into the engine, I've actually kept the old one ad plan to clean it up at some point to see how it operated

My search for a FL2 continues still at this time
