Hi all, thinking of getting an EGR blank for my Freelander 2 2010 but a little concerned with the new rules, will it pass or fail if I fit one.

The EGR is designed to reduce NOx emissions which are currently not tested. However, they do increase particulate emissions; so a diesel fitted with an EGR but not a DPF should have the EGR removed in the public interest. That's my story and i'm sticking to it.
How long do we think it will be before they start nox testing ont mot in UK?
Both my brother (td4 03) and I (td4 56) have had our cars passed with deleted EGR valves within the last 6 months.Suggest you read the EGR Blanking Mod thread. Plenty peeps, myself included, who’s cars have sailed through the MOT with EGR blanked off. I’ve not seen, nor heard, of a single example of a vehicle failing because of a blanked off EGR.
