Hi guys , just picked up my bobtail rangie pickup project yesterday. She's a 3.5 efi. Its bright blue and you cant miss it so if you where held up yesterday late afternoon by a very slow moving merc estate with this on the back in the bournemouth/salisbury/warminster area i appologise!lol

Anyway, basically it'll run on easystart, which is good but it would seem the fuel pump is nackered.

Firstly there is no live to the pump? Its not a flapper,(or at least think not as cant see a flap in there) so think its a hotwire. So would it be ok to fun a constant live from elsewhere, that comes on with the ignition, and whilst cranking, and just put an inline fuse in there...this is what i've done atm.

So for the fuel pump, are these ok EFI external Bosch 4FP unmarked Fuel Pump ROVER V8 TVR | eBay
It looks the same as whats on there atm. Its got an aluminium race tank mounted up in the rear, with one of these style of pumps mounted right down at the bottom, right next to the tank, so should be ok for the low sucking pressure that people talk about with these pumps,
thanks in advance for the advice

I'm no expert but did a little research on this for my 3.5 efi 90. The fuel pressure regulator should hold pressure in the fuel rail about 36psi so as long as your pump can deliver more than that then should be ok. I think I recall most post recommending using pump from 2l cavalier or xr2 pump so check what they pump out at against the one you have listed.
