If I remove the EFi from my 3.5 V8 RRC is it just a case of a rewire for a simple ignition setup, carb setup and off I go?

If anyone has done this before I would appretiate any advice :D

Atm the EFi loom is fried, I have a chap coming today to see if it can be sorted but carbs is another option should it be shot.

I have just removed carbs from a friends V8 90 and fitted EFi but he took care of the electrics.

You would need to change the fuel pump to a low pressure version. The efi pump works at about ten times the pressure needed for carbs.

surely an efi loom is available cheap

the efi and igntion are separate (apart from 1 wire for engine speed sensing) so the igntion will be happy without the efi

i run efi offroad and dont get a whistle of trouble with it, i think it's a superb system, bloody uneconomical but ruthlessly simple and easier to maintain than carbs probably! also, it works upside down :D
