I have a pre face lift D2 and the ecu in it is a MSBxxxxxx type I have a NNN500020 ecu which I would like to change it over with (later play with remapping). I have been told all I have to do is copy the software from my old one to the new one and then set up the injector codes, re program the keys and then let the ecu learn the alarm code.
I have plugged the new one on and set the injectors and let it learn the codes and the engine starts.
What I cannot do is get the software out of the old unit all I can get is the config tune ID SUTDP009 and the fuel tune id SUHDE026. so I will not just swop them over. my engine is the old type P10 and the ecu is for a P15 engine. Can any one tell me how or where I can get the software from and if they you know of anything else I will need to do ?

You can't read anything out of a MSB ECU cos it doesnt have the hardware for that, and better not play with nanocom to load unverified fuel maps in the NNN unless you buy it from a reliable source albeit who works with these kind of things will prefer to do the remap himself, IMO better get the NNN ECU remapped for your vehicle, anyway the only "standard" EU2 map for the NNN500020 is the STHDE 021 - STTDP 010 but that's quite rudimentary and doesnt work the best
