so looks on ebay this mornin ,,,,,sees series 3 truck cab buy it now .for 45 nicker,and its within reach ,thinks not sure how the bank account is ,checks on way to work ,looks good ,gets in at 5 ish ,looks for aforementioned item ,cant find it ,looks in completed items an its gone ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,how gutted am i ,ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Nobody seems to bid on there anymore. You're just as well to send an email to the seller asking what they want to end the item early. Everyone does it & the worst they can do is tell you to sod off!

know xactly what you mean mate ,ive dun that a few times and its worked ,was just gutted that it was 45 nikker ,and i missed it
 
Having sold a fair bit on ebay over the years I can say with my hand on my heart that the ****ers that want you to end it early for forty quid and I'll pick it up later then don't turn up and the ****ers who want to know how much they can buy it for now then you never hear from them again are the biggest pain in the flamin arse I've ever had the misfortune to come across. It's a ****in auction for gawds sake. if you want to buy it, BID.:mad:
 
know what you mean ,but in fairness to the seller he did put a buy it now of 45 kwid ,im just kicking myself for not hitting the b.i.n button before i went into work lol
 
Sure your looking in the right place for it!!! I had the same problem with some buy it now rear wings for a 90, there one minute gone the next. When I finally did find them, by putting in the sellers name which I got from something else they were selling, up they popped as if they'd bin there all the time.

yeahh mate ,just to add insult to injury ,i checked on completed items ,and there it was ,all finished and sold and not mine lol
 
well mabe next time ,want one coz they ,,,,,look great ,itll be easier to take off and put back on in the warm weather,(canvas tilt is a no go coz its parked on the street and the local kids would be sleeping ,etc in it ) and can put ifor williams so cant hear my mad cross collie bouncing herself from side to side lol
 
i just picked up a series truck cab for free 10 miles up rd from me off freecycle:D mind you its been under a laurel tree for 5 yrs according to the guy i got it from.
 
i was going to split my hardtop next week as truck cabs are either miles away or silly money,my plan was to divide it at the seam so above cab was dry and get a fume curtain for back to keep dry.but when this came up i took it ,its got mildew on it and the sliding glass is seized. catches, look broke and the channel is all rusted so its flaking away i might do away with the sliding rear windows.just had a look on ebay and hardtops are not selling so may take glass out of rear door cut that in half move top hinge down and have a free side opening tailgate.;)
 
I want a Hardtop and I've got a truck cab and canopy that I'm willing to swap!
 
if you was nearer id swap my hardtop,its in really good nick ,it was the tidyest part of my landy it has,nt got windows in the side though its a commercial style.its just leant against my shed now.
 
welsh borders,about 13 miles from chepstow/severn crossing .its for a 88" i see by your avater .you,ve got a 90"

And you're not too far away either - I go to Bristol from time to time.
Ah well, I'll just have to keep looking!
