Just purchased a 2001 TD4 automatic.

It doesn't have any history and I prefer to keep on top of things. History didn't bother me as long as it looked and drove well. Usually not a lost cause if they pull well enough.

Anyway, just want to keep it running up to spec. This pack any good or would it work out cheaper to buy parts individually? I'll be doing the stuff myself.

LAND ROVER FREELANDER TD4 FILTER SERVICE KIT 2001 to early 2002 | eBay

I'll also be changing the coolant/water in the car too as it doesn't appear to have any actual coolant in, just water... What colour does the freelander use? Are there any good guides for things like oil capacity etc?

From looking at the picture think there is a reason why you can see what make most of the stuff is, probably cheap rubbish.

Think I would be at the very least asking what make the oil and filters are.

hiya

may i ask the best mods to do first is the egr bypass and bmw crankcase modification and u will notice the difference just doing them

i personally only buy bearmach or oem as for the sake of a few quid not worth risking a failure of cheap filters etc

also if u go to myfreelander web site there is all the capacities on there for u

do u know where ur fuel filter is located as the pic is showing the one fitted undern the bonnet but i assume its gerenic pic

seems very cheap to me seeing oil is an average of £40-50 on its own

i have a 2002 td4 auto and love it, fantastic to drive and on nearly 178,000 miles

there is a massive amount of info on here and plenty of experience if u get stuck

great site with a good amount of banter , lololol

Yeah, I intend to do those mods Gary. I need to get my head stuck in the engine bay properly first d there are a few mods on the car already, although I'm guessing they are visual ones.
