THERE IS A PERSON LISTING DISCOVERY3's AND THE CARS LOOKS GREAT. The problem is that the cars do not exist.

DISCOVERY3 REG: GJ57ZCV

To pre-warn you to keep a careful lookout, here are their details and the bank accounts used.

ANDREW & JANET BROADLEY, SORT CODE 09 01 27 ACCOUNT 46031101
SHEENA HOWARD-HOLLAND SORT CODE 11 13 56 ACCOUNT 10283969

These accounts are current but if you send money to them you will not get either your car or your money back! They are very convincing BUT they are scammers. The second account is " supposed" to be his sister in law and he says he has an overdraft on his account and wants the money sent to this woman who is also in the scam. Many ebay buyers have been conned into parting with money, gone to the address in Exeter to collect the car but the house is home to some innocent students who have had numerous call for the car.

Please keep an eye for these crooks and don't be a victim of their scams. The police are informed too.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHO YOU DEAL WITH!! Let me know if you have been a victim of these thieves.

The way I understand it is they just ask if you want to send a holding deposit as they have a lot of interest and don't want you to travel and it be sold.

if thats done through ebay then theres no problem, surely?

Im sure youd be covered through paypal as long as you didnt send it as a gift.
What Fanny is going to send money via a bank transfer lol Rodney you plonker...

If its on ebay then i think it would only be covered by paypal if you were the winner of the ebay listing, and then paid with paypal. If not winning the ebay listing then yer outside of their ebay rules/fees if you pay.

Similar scam to someone hiring out rr's on instagram. Pictures of vehicles they don't own or have for hire. Peeps pay via paypal in advance and he ignores them after.

Not sure. I thought all auction and buy it now was covered. Don't know about adds as i never buy from them.

These type of scams appear to be quite prevalent :. caveat emptor, never pay for a significant purchase unless seen in the flesh and able to take home there and then. I sometimes wonder at the stupidity of folk handing over large sums of hard earned money by simply trusting a private vendor, read: crook. "A fool and his money..."

Well I have to agree with all of you but I only posted it to let people know they are still at it.

Whether or not people are gullible, or fall for the "too good to be true" adverts. Not everyone knows how much a vehicle SHOULD cost?

lt's shocking that these scammers can carry on stealing money, with known bank account details, and nothing gets done about it.

The banks are now responsible for their customers accounts if used for criminal activity. They can be prosecuted under the most recent laundering laws. You must notify the banks concerned and they will close these accounts and blacklist the account holder so they can’t open another one.
