Hi - can anyone recommend a good Land Rover expert to take Look at a few things on my 1994 defender.

near Tunbridge Wells / East Sussex. I am assumed the thatched garage and Groombridges are used to nicer vehicles
Than mine.

Groombridge or Harwoods in Lewes but whether they would be interested is another matter. Harwoods asked me to move my old Ninety off the forecourt! Thatched Garage 'Home of the the Man for Land Rovers' - I've not used them but heard they're ok. He does charge OTT for his old Land Rovers.
C R Allen in Peacehaven, local to me, good rep, virtually main dealer prices though.
John Bannon, Gumtree 4x4, Ditchling Common, very good know their stuff, used to rally.

Look up Bramble 4x4 in Sissinghurst, Damian specializes in Land Rovers and is extremely helpful. He has done me a few turns with my old 300.

I have never used them as I do most things myself, but when I go for an MOT in the unit that is opposite they always have a good mix of Land Rovers outside which can`t be a bad sign.
