Hi everyone, looks a fantastic forum by the way. Right straight to it....
I have read the last 600 odd threads and have come in very useful indeed,
However I would like to post my prob before I attack the car with nearest spanner.
I have a 1995 4.6 HSE limited with the dreaded EAS problems. I used the car for around 10 stop start journeys last Friday, all was fine, on parking car would level out and sometimes over level till right down, soon as key was turned up she'd come. Well it's stopped rising.... Nothing at all.. No fault code, height button flashing/stops when door open etc... Took blue pipe off bottom of compressor and with force I can stop the air flow! Is this right or wrong? Hope to solve this asap as I'm missing it already!

Thanks in advance

To cheekily quote Wammers:
With compressor running remove inlet filter. Put finger over it. There should be suction. If not strip and find out why not. If there is suction - remove pipe from compressor. Put finger over outlet. Air should be blown by finger. You should not be able to seal with finger pressure. If you can, strip compressor. If finger is blown off - remove exhaust filter. Place finger over that, there should be NO air coming out. If there is the diaphragm is split. If there is no air coming out, unless you have a air leak from tank circuit, you should have good air pressure. Not rising is 99% of the time lack of sufficient air pressure.

Don't fit the Dutch seal kit - troublesome in cold temperatures. Use the original spec from (say) Island4x4.

Also, if it is levelling out but dropping to the bumps overnight, you have a leak, likely to be a air spring.

Cheers for the quick replies lads... Probably against your advice I've bought a referb pump from fleabay.... Haven't got the time to **** about with it. Hopefully it will get me out of trouble till it all get overhauled.
Keep ya posted to how I get on!!
