First time post.
Got a 4.6 auto P38 about two months ago having had a few steam driven classics before. Been getting lots of gen from others asking questions here but this one seems new.
History
Battery dying and getting worse so battery replaced.
EAS soft fault but still driveable.
Took all four wheels off to check brake pads and noticed RL air bag looking old and thought may have to be changed soon.
EAS hard fault and slow 35mph max and on bump stops.
Got RSW software and test lead connected to laptop. 4 faults logged
FL signal incorrect
RR signal incorrect
Pressure signal constantly high
Vehicle has moved
Could hear the sound of air leaking from RL air bag but couldn't see leak with soapy water.
Cleared faults and everything worked and car went up and down no problem.
Went for couple of hundred yards and maybe heard a slight 'pop' but could have been road surface
Rear on bump stops but no fault on dash.
Pressed button to lower to access height and front lowered.
Press button to take up to normal and nothing happens. Normal light flashing but no movement.
Plug in laptop and no faults recorded.
I was getting the FF on Rx and green idle button until I pressed 'Stop'.
Compressor working.
Help please cos is doing my head in.

Get the rear bag'S changed for a start. It is advised to change both on the axle, I would check the condition of the fronts as well. There is nothing to be gained trying to fix the system with a leaking bag!! It will only feck your compressor if you keep trying to raise the car.

Thanks for reply
Will change all bags as car is nearly on 80k and presume originals and let you know how it goes.

The system ran out of air feeding the leak, may have fecked the compressor or maybe it just couldn't keep up.

Thank you
Would a fault code show if I drove any distance or tried to get up some speed?

Thanks for help guys. I am away for a week then will attack this again lol

Changed both rear springs and will see if that worked. Ta much for your help

Generally if one lot go the rest will soon after. Datatek says 80k or 8 years life is normal.

The fronts are slightly trickier to get to but not difficult. Cheaper than a new compressor too, although you can refurb the compressor for £20.
