Hi all,
Sorry for posting the 1millionth eas thread
Rebuilt the vavle block and compressor and now car won't rise at all.
Output is not very good on compressor
Took apart again, it contained lots of white bits
Compressor runs continuously
When compressor is running air comes out of port 11
Is the normal?
I have tried to fill tank with my compressor as much as I can.

Can anyone suggest anything

I believe the white stuff is desicant powder. The descent is supposed to be granular But breaks down over time. You need to replace it.
The compressor runs continously because it is trying to pressurize the system. Take it apart again and make sure you have the new piston seal installed correctly. Which rebuild kit did you use?

Poor output from the compressor might be the reed valves in the head you should not be able to hold the pressure on the blue pipe with your thumb.. It will go nowhere if the compressor output is not good,
Not sure what white bits in the compressor can be unless the piston seal is breaking up, it should not be possible for desiccant to reach the compressor.
Air should only be coming out of the port that goes to the air tank, anywhere else and you have a problem with the valve block.

The piston seal is in position, could it be vaseline as the video suggested this to ease it in. It is a x8r kit.

OK so air coming out of port 11 when the compressor is running which comes from the diaphragm block could suggest something wrong with the diaphragm.

There should be nothing on the piston seal, could be the Vaseline has blocked the reed valves.
I can never remember the numbers:( I assume you mean the exhaust where the little white filter fits? If the diaphragm is fitted the wrong way round you will have a problem.

It's the thin pipe above the exhaust filter that vents to the air, I had a feeling the air shouldn't be pouring out of there. I will have a look tomorrow. Cheers.

The small 4mm pipe above the exhaust valve is a vent line from the diaphragm solenoid, i would say it is not sealing properly.

When I took the block apart there was an o ring on the top of the diaphragm solenoid where the silver part meets the black base that screws to the valve block, now there was no replacement in the kit and when it was said that the diaphragm has no top o ring I think I have misunderstood what it means by top o ring and not fitted one where it should be

Unless something isn't right in the valveblock allowing dessicant back through. It does break down over time into powder and would stuff a new piston seal PDQ if it gets in.

As Keith said desiccant powder cannot get into compressor.

OK so fitted that o ring and up she went, still raised unevenly with the passenger side higher, levelled out after driving a little bit though. The dessicant had some broken bits in it, might replace it soon, many thanks.

Mine had a dust in it. Don’t think it was deccicant more like powdered metal or perhaps corrosion off the NRVs ?

Vaseline is good to seat the o-rings but it’s a light coating hardly anything. Like what you’d have on your hands after wiping them off

I Left the door open for abuse on that one :D

You don’t have to use lube but if you go ramming In the ring without can cause scoring/chaffing/intense pleasure (delete as appropriate)

If the desiccant is breaking up, replace the dryer ASAP or you will be rebuilding the valve block again PDQ.
