right, just rebuilt a rear caliper and replaced a length of pipe on the passenger side front...

all good so far...

but!

how do you bleed the system?? cos its now doin me skull in!!

i did rear passenger, rear driver...front passenger then front drivers...

on the fronts did the two inner, then the outer...

but still very spongy...also 'pressured' the system by ffoot to help...

any ideas / help ????

cheers amigos

you will have to bleed all calipers if you didnt clamp flexis ,order really doesnt matter ,but press pedal steady otherwise you will need new master cylinder

Buy a pressure bleeder. Much easier and not expensive. All ya do is fill bottle up attach it to brake fluid resevoir then other pipe to a spare wheel with around 20psi in it and bleed it up as normal 1 corner at a time

cheers james...i didnt clamp but have done all callipers

what the symptons of a fubared master cylinder then? loss of pressure in guessing?

cheers shaun

may do that i did buy one before but didnt fit the cap on the resi (scoobie leggy) so took it back!!

do they actually work then?

Yeah I use them at work all the time. Saves trying to find some1 to sit in and pump peddle. You should only pump first inch or 2 on peddle when ur trying to build some pressure up as it can fuk ur master cylinder up like james said. Buy a decent 1 though around 20-30 quid
