Hi I'm new to the world of 4x4 and have recently bought a '96 4.6 hse in excellent codition, but have a couple of faults showing. Firstly the suspension was a bit sluggish, then I got the "E A S" fault with the suspension stuck in high off road position. A friend of mine cleared this with his laptop and I presume a range rover programme. He told me the air suspension was in excellent condition, responsive, etc so off I went .2 weeks later whilst driving down the road I get the dreaded alarm tone, and up comes E A S fault again but this time the rear is in town position and the front is in motorway/low position. Secondly whenever I put the key into the ignition I get "alarm fault". By disconnecting the battery for 10 mins it clears it , but after about 2 days it returns. Could anyone out there please shed some light on these problems as they are ruining my enjoyment of this fantastic vehicle. many thanks, Donnie

Read the suspension faults again with diagnostics before clearing them. Alarm Fault message could very well be faulty ultrasonic sensor located above the central, passenger door pillar on the headlining
