I have a 2014 Freelander 2 HSE and I want to update the Satnav Maps. I see that there are USB and DVD option. Is it one ore the other and how do I tell which. Any recommendations for map source would be helpful.

Presumably you can burn the data to Disk or USB, whichever you have available. I went for USB. Like me, you can do it yourself or for slightly more in cost, you can have them send it to you.

The process took 3-4 hours of driving to finish. Before I set off I saw recommendations to do it in one go and don't turn the engine off while it's happening. There was one instance where the update was interrupted, I resolved it by pulling the USB out and re-inserting it. The update continued from where it left off. When it was finished, it confused itself and asked if I wanted to update the navigation again. It didn't need it, it had finished successfully. Then I could eject the USB again and turn the engine off happily.
