hi just bought a 1.8 freelander and when i put full lock on steering the car stops as if u were applyin brakes can u help please

on full lock all freelander 1's feel like the brakes are being aplied, its the because of the vcu in the drivetrain. Better check the vcu isn't too stiff, if it is will need to replace it asap or remove the props.
are the rear tyres worn in a saw-tooth pattern?
