I opened the drivers door window today for some much needed fresh air and when I wanted it closed again there was nothing - no movement no click, nada. I was going out again soon so I left it down. When I got out and about again I tried it and it went up as normal. Of course I put it down again and it stayed down! Got to my destination ( the local recycling place) and left it down. Got back in, tried it and it went back up again as normal. This time I didn’t push my luck and left it up.Is there anything common/ easy with this behaviour before I take the door card off? Which by the way, how do you get the door card off?

Finally got around to investigating the drivers door window. Off with the door card etc disconnected the switches and reconnected them; worked perfectly. Put the card back on and it’s not missed a beat since. Result!! Wish the XK8 was as accommodating.
