No need to remove the door. You should be able to reach it from behind if you remove the door card maybe through the speaker's hole or other aperture in the door pannel, first you have to discard the roll pin from body as to release it then undo the bolts, not D2 but should give you an ideea

Got this done yesterday.
After getting the door card off (six screws and a bucket load of trim clips!), and disconnecting the door speaker, a slice with a sharp knife through the water shedder got access to the inside of the door a little below the mounting point for the check strap.
Tapping on the top of the conical roll pin with an 8mm punch and small hammer, then on the underside to dislodge it (tighten then loosen works wonders!) was easy enough, and the roll pin was perfectly reusable.
A 10mm socket later, both flange hex nuts were off, and it was juggling time. The cables to the window winder motor and the speaker got a bit in the way, but I managed to get the failing part out without dropping it down the inside of the door, which was nice
Fitting the replacement part from Craddocks, and final reassembly, was about the same. A bit of gaffa tape over the incision in the water shedder is good enough to hold it closed until Craddocks can supply a replacement (it's on back order). Hint: When remounting the door card, remove the trim pins from where they've been pulled off and stayed in the body of the door, and refix them onto the door card. Makes refitting the door card so much easier
All told, given I'd not done this job before, and was taking it carefully, about a half to three quarters of an hour to do the job. I'm happy
