Hi all,

We bought a Disco 1 V8 a couple of weeks ago and it is a pleasure to drive barring a problem I can only describe as 'driveline shunt'. It happens when you ease up on the accelerator in all forward gears and it feels like the gearbox/transfer box are moving around on their mounts due to worn bushes.

Which bushes are likely to be the culprits? And where can I get them from without being overcharged?

I know my way around a car with a spanner or two so it's a job I would like to tackle before it gets too cold.

Any tips for getting the old bushes off and fitting replacements from the wiser heads will be appreciated.

Jay

'driveline shunt' It does happen when one diff/prop catches with the other, I have had it now and again in my old RRc and also now my disco and they were both purchased new, it's the old technology u see.
