The internal trim/guide for my drivers door window has come loose. I've rescued the screws that had fallen out, but can't see any screw holes where they had been. The screw holes in the trim are there, but not in the door itself.

I can re-drill them, or use a blob of silicone, but I'm wondering if any other parts have got lost?

 
It's a bit broken as well, supposed to be one piece. No screws in mine except where the seal is behind the door card.
The screws are horrible little things and need to be counter sunk and short otherwise they won't work or damage the glass. I'd glue it back with whatever or if you want to screw it ask away and I'll find the spec for them(got a small box of them in the garage )
 
I've got the screws that were wedged into the channel, but they weren't screwed into anything.

Maybe I'm missing a section that fits onto the top of the door, that might also hold the upright bit in place?

No the uprights and top section are all separate. with the little plastic angle parts in-between. When I rebuild my door I only needed to replace the front verticle runner as the bottom looked like it had been run over by a tank and then shot with a shotgun then left in the sea for a year.
 
I don't recall anything there tbh. I fitted all new seals when I fitted new doors and the seal just pushed in and it was a snug fit.
Maybe you've had replacement doors but the seals were reused?
 
I've just been out to have a look and I am a fibbing git.
I can see that I did use screws for that part they were just difficult to see.
Was a long time ago and I'm old and wee myself occasionally.
Still looks like it's one piece on mine though and they are genuine parts.
So drill some tiny holes and get screwing.

Iirc there is a metal strip bonded into the seal? That rots and the whole thing ends up a mess. Could be thinking of the camper van again though.

There's only one on each window. I'm not sure they are that useful, so no big miss.
Rather than create more holes for water to run in to, I bonded my new runner strips in with a bitumen based gutter sealant.

Your right, the remains of that clip is part of a plastic window guide. Used to lust after having those on my old 110, going too fast (ha ha, though it was a V8) or with a good cross wind it was sometimes a real pita to close the window.
