As the title suggests - I am looking for all the appropriate seals for a 1986 90 - the one piece lift up handle doors.

I am seeing loads of different seals out there now, does anyone have a list of what is needed for the whole door? I am seeing there are one piece seals for the door - is that all that is needed, or are there others for the sill or tub?

Thanks in advance

There's a one piece seal for the top and sides, and a separate seal that rivets onto the sill to seal the bottom of the door. Seal is a loose term here - you may still be able to see through the gaps in places! After fitting the longer bit for the top/sides, it's normal to have to adjust the door striker and even "adjust" the new seal to allow the door to close easily.

@nortm005 , as per @zeaphod there's the door frame seal and a seal that is riveted to the lower edge of the door sill. The door sill seals are carp, far better to fit a later TD5/Puma door seal that fits to the underside of the door, they fit superbly. #2 here https://www.lrworkshop.com/diagrams/land-rover-defender-body-chassis/doors/front-door-seals_44828#2

eta: no matter what seals you fit the sills and doors need to fit true/square. If not, they'll still leak/left in cold air/let out whatever meagre cabin heat...this is fine in the summer, a damned irritant in the winter.
