I've done a search for this but didn't find anything...

The driver's door on my 1992 Defender 90 shuts without a problem but leaves a half inch gap at the top between the body and the door. The seal appears to be fine, but obviously the wind still gets in - it's especially bad on the dual carriageway at 60mph when the whole top half of the door shakes. I don't know if the problem is with the hinges or the actual door, but it's very frustrating in the cold weather.

Is there anything I can do to cure this without resorting to spending 300 quid that I don't have on a new door?

this is the official landrover fix,and i jest not!
place a piece of timber across the door opening, level with the bottom of the window hole....wind the glass into the door bottom.....close the door as much as you can(place something between woo/paint...and bend the window frame inwards.....as simple as that mate....ya bend the top of the door!
But before you do this 'mod' double check thats its just the top section and not the whole door thats out of alignment
