We have a Freelander 1 on a '56 plate which we have had from new, looks like it's getting to be the time for the gremlins to make a home on board!, the car has 42k miles, always been serviced and has rarely given trouble, till now!! I note that we routinely swing in the mirrors as we park up every night and open next time we drive off, however of late they have decided to open up themselves as the ignition is turned on, not only that but they close and re-open at will as we are driving along. Is there a quick fix or can I disarm the mirror fold back at all. I took out fuse 15 which shows the mirror on the fuse logic diagram but for some reason they still swing back and forth, is there another fuse which will immobilise them pending a repair. We need them out as we use the car to tug the caravan and have strap on mirrors fitted for towing. Any help appreciated. regards. Alan.
