Hi there, I'm new to the forum so bear with me.
I've got a 2007 FL2 which I've had for about 3years. It's cost me quite a bit so far with a clutch, rear differential plus other bits and bobs so I was hoping to fix my door mirror which has stopped parking itself rather than buying another. I've followed a post on here from a few years ago which talks about replacing two pins near the motor. Unfortunately when I take the unit off I can't get to the motor because the plastic shroud won't come off. I can remove the small cover for the hinged part but the remaining two bits seem to be fixed by being melted together at three points behind the mirror. I could drill these out but I wonder if anyone else has tried this, how it went and how you fastened the bits together again.
Has anyone out there done this? Any suggestions appreciated.
