Hi, my driver side door is locked shut. Inside lock button is down and will not pop up no matter what. Key will not unlock door. I tried to remove inside panel but couldn't get to bottom trim studs as door was shut!! I pulled out door panel as much as I could and sprayed WD40 on everything I could reach (caught fingers and bled, ouch!!). At least it's locked so pikey's less likely to get in but anyone out there got advice on how I can get door open?

if you can reach this little part ive pointed to in the pic, and push it up (using a thin screwdriver or something ) the door will open. this part of the latch is not covered by the door card and the striker on the body will be the only thing to block you

If anyone's looking at this and suffering a similar symptom, I posted this thread before.
Thankfully no spares needed for this. Just some carefully directed GBH and WD40.
