When I use the remote to unlock the doors on my 2001 disco series 2 TD5 all the doors unlock with the exception of the fron passenger door, this door will however lock when I use the remote to lock the doors. Any ideas out there as to the problem?

It'll be a new lock for you I'm afrad.
The Disco 2 locks are a seald unit around the solinoid, at least I think its a couple of solinoids inthere, any way a new one'll set you back around £50

I had the same problem on the drivers door.

I took off the door panel to get the lock out for inspection, but coudnt get the lock out without removing the frame and windows etc...

...so gave it some WD40 and put the panel back thinking i'd have another go when I get more time. After a couple of days of using the key to open the door it started working again!

My key does not open or lock the doors itself. It just seems to tuen 90 degrees each way but nothing happens. Is this a known fault with some

for the 10mins to take off the door panel and have a look, it's worth having a gander. There is a single clip that attaches a single rod from the key lock to the rest of the door lock unit, it may have just come adrift?

have a look at parts 16 & 2 in the picture
