Hi,

Got a bit of a problem. When I bought my 110 there was no keys for the front door locks...they are the lift up latch type. Ok no problem..lock them from the inside and climb out through the rear door.

Ive got a new lock set but was unable to remove the old barrels..it looks like you have to to insert the key and twist them out?...I don't have a key!

Does someone know how I can remove them without butchering the latch?!

I can't keep on climbing through the rear door all the time!!

Thanks.

Andy.

There is a small hole on the side of the sleeve that the lock barrel slides into. Push an appropriate sized rod into the hole to remove the barrel.

Thanks mate. I seen the hole but couldn't see the little peg that I guess locks the barrel into the housing. When I move the barrel I can see moving through the little hole.

I've replaced the door locks today...had to drill them out as I had no keys. The new locks...Part Number MTC6504...slotted straight in no problems. Easy when you know how!!

So now I have 2 functioning door locks with keys!

Thanks mate..yes it is a bit brutal drilling them out but I started with a small drill bit and went up to a slightly larger one...just enough for the guts of the lock to drop out. Then I gently twisted it out with a screw driver.

Thats one job done...many many more to do!!

I read through your post on EMLRA when you first got yours...very interesting and you've done a good job. Wish I could get mine in the garage!!
