Well maintained 2010 Freelander 2 front drivers door will not lock on fob other doors fine starts fine too any suggestions please

Will it lock from the buttons on the dash? Are the locks set to drive away locking? If so does it lock with the others?
If not then it's most likely the lock actuator assembly. It's a common failure on these vehicles.
