I've got a disco 300tdi and I've recently been having trouble with the drives door catch. I have been having to push the lock button on the door for it to shut. Been doing this for a couple of months now. So I had some effete time and bought a new latch mechanism from bearmach. Easy enough to fit. Had it testing to shut before I rebuilt all the door and it was fine. Seemed like it was dropping off the striker pin. So I lowered that slightly and it's a bit better

My frustration lies now where I cannot shut the door at all now. It won't work the way it used to. It just won't latch onto the pin and stay shut. Even if it does latch, it won't close fully and can still be pushed open very easily.

Idk what's gone wrong. Adjusted all the rods inside for the handles as that gave some grief at first. All seemed ok so I put it all back together. Now it's giving me hell.

Can anybody identify what's up? I don't know why it won't catch properly I or even at all and I'm ready for booting it across the workshop.

It seems the striker pin is out of place, but no amount of adjustment can make it work.

I would appreciate any help! Cheers!

try and move the striker towards the outside of the landrover towards you as you stand infront of it and look at it seems like uve moved it back so the door shuts completely and the strikers too far back to latch
