We tend to think of cars and boats as being female, but Mr Esm thinks that Landy's are definitely male. I said we should call it 'Pat', cos it is going to look like a Royal Mail Van. :D

Esm xx

My okd Audi A2 was called Alfie. The green Fabia VRS we have is called Kermit and the disco we have is called Bobby as it is an ex police car! Lol

"if it aint broke, take it apart and fix it anyway!"

Oh yes. When I was describing the 'extras' on my 100" to a former-landy owning mate as we were walking to take a look at it for the first time his words were 'So are you going to Barry it up a bit?'
Once he saw it with its huge tyres and stainless bumper, A-bar and side steps he added
'no need, I some someone's Barryed it up for you'.
Thus 100" was Barry. His replacement is Barry the Second (an almost stock 110 CSW).

Mines is named Ermintrude after the cow from the Magic Roundabout. Due to the fact that when i got it someone had, very badly, sprayed it in desert camo colours by hand and it looked more like a cow than anything else.
Yes i realise Ermintrude was pink but how many famous cows are there :p

Series 3 109 diesel, his name is "Larry", coz he said it was

The voices told me too say that......................................

My current 110 was referred to by the Mrs as "The Rat" when I first bought it last year. After the conversion and tidy up its now referred to with some respect. He is now the "sergeant major". He is certainly a he.

2 year old son calls the 110 "Cartrain"...noting he is a massive Thomas the Tank Engine fan. He even got to drive it around for half an hour in 1st gear last month !
