Having had a few Freelanders over the years with the standard interior I was a little surprised to see the wood trim in my V6. Does anybody else have it and is it an option or after market kit? The fit and finish is neat and a welcome change from grey plastic.

There are plenty of wood trim stickers around on eBay and the such. Maybe it was an extra. I haven't seen any with it on but I know its available. Always liked wood trim but it is a little old fashioned.

When I first saw my V6 I didn't even notice the wood trim. It was only as I drove the car onto the trailer a few days later that it suddenly occurred to me that it looked different to my last Freelander (50th anniversary model) and to be honest I'm not a wood person but it's grown on me over time and now I think it makes it look a little different, if a little old fashioned but then I'm old fashioned too!

Fitted them when I worked at a LR dealers, not cheap ones either, proper veneer.
The kit also had a panel that fitted to the instrument cluster.

Think the silver trim kits look far better myself, but each to his own I suppose. The wood looks good in the older rangies though.

So they were LR kits then. I can't see how having air con or not makes any difference as the switch is simply replaced with a blank in the same way that cruise control switch is. It's nice to know it's a dealer fitment though :)
