Are you having a laugh ?
Its a complete TD5 on a 86 log book...
Still wouldn't expect you to know any different...

Too many details that are not from 86 model. Wrong rear cross member, fuel filler in wrong place, new brake pads (think they had drums). Only thing from 86 is the reg number. Caveat emptor.

It's a tin of rust with mods

+1 - not even got an MOT - maybe cos even stevie wonder can tell it's not quite right .... Love the bit in the ad where he says that the drivers seat is a bit worn !! - and the pic shows it completely knackered....

Caveat Emptor indeed.

Eye always wonder if these muppets get so far into their ideal tratter that they ferget all reality. It then whacks them head on when they realise they can't put it back on the road. So they flog it cheap and give a poor eggscuse. If they were to list all the good and bad points then said they'd seen the light and bought a freelander instead it would be imore plasuible.

It’s probably kosher.

More likely as already said, a junker that they built up and tried to get on the road, but just gave up on.

Nobody has mentioned stolen but the rear cross member is TD5 which leads me to believe the whole chassis if the same, all the bodywork is TD5

vented front panel, wings, bulkhead, rear body.

I bet the instruments are TD5 and more than likely the chassis number has been removed or altered, no wonder theirs no mot on it, he's too scared to take it.

It piisses me off that people can be so hard nosed to think because it looks the same nobody will know like Hippo who says whats wrong with it ?

If i was closer to Motherwell i.d go and see it...

Worth its weight in scrap which eye would guess they have just found out as its near finished and due an mot. Worth more if stripped for parts.

A bit like these two off gumtree last week....

Yep, two like that on Ebay last week as well.

lf contacted the owner is “abroad” and the car is with an agent, who will deliver it once payment is received in to an “escrow account”
Some people actually fall for it and then of course the car never turns up, and the escrow account is of course fake
