HI guys just a quick confirmation bit of advice needed, My FL1 (54plate) has jus developed a clunk from underneath on letting the clutch out and if I lift of and put th efoot back on the accelerator quickly.

I have done a bit of reading on here and it seems like this could be the rear diff fron bush/mount. Do you guys agree with that?
If not what could it be?

If it is is it worth doing all three at the same time or is it not likely the others are an issue?

Is it worth buying genuine parts or are pattern parts from Bearmach etc for half the price?

take it to a garage ask them to diagnose and give you a quote. thank them and take it home and fix whatever they tell you is wrong. Tis far simpler than everyone on here getting there crystal Balls :eek: out and trying to be psychic.
 
I've noticed this on mine lately but it's not everyday and it's only first thing in morning from cold start when I pull away.is this the same?
 
Not always the front one, can be the rears! Get underneath and check. They split badly when they're knackered. If you're up to changing one its just as easy to diagnose one!

I am happy with a set of spanners in my hand. As long as I support the diff and prop shaft whilst doing it is it just a matter of unbolting and bolting new ones in? No lining up or adjustment to worry about?

The front one is far more common. If you do one at a time you don't have to support it and it's light enough to wiggle around to help lining up

No adjustment needed or possible they're all just a straight swap!
 
New front one to pick up on way home from Local dealer £21ish, will do the front one tomorrow and see what the others look like.
Hopefully the others are in good condition as dealer wants £78 each!

Ouch! The rear ones have dampers on them to reduce vibration!

They look pretty in orange.

Had the front one on mine changed yesterday and the difference is definately worth the effort. I didn't realise how bad the ride had got.
 
They're flo flex ones, got them from their eBay shop, they don't affect the ride at all, there is virtually no give in them tho!
 
Replaced the front one today it was knackered.

Still a little clunky, the other two looked a little worn and did not like being pushed around to get the front one out so just ordered two off the tinternet and will sort them next week.

Diesel those polybush ones look great would be a faff for as I don't have a press to push the old ones out.
