The coolant pipe on the base of the inlet manifold ?

Just realised the PO has removed the pipe or its fallen off, looks like its going to be a bit of a pig to get to without removing the inlet manifold so do I actually need this or can I blank off the inlet and leave it at that ?

I'm hoping its still screwed into the bottom of the manifold……

This is the spare manifold I've got and this is the pipe I'm on about just for reference

The question remains then :) do I need to have the pipe connected if its been taken off or is it ok to run without the one thats screwed into the manifold, I know the other ones the heater pipe which I don't need as I've got no heater :p

Ahh I thought it was to cool the manifold so the one screwed in may have been needed

If it isn't then I'll just blank the outlet on the pump :)

Sweet :D thanks James!

Makes life easier for me then, no need to put that pipe in if I cant get one to it without taking the plenum off.
Running my heater from somewhere else so its ok now :)

the different v8 models use various heater pipe locations ,connections on rear of water pump can be core plugged or opened

Yeah I've got 3 pipes coming off the rear of the water pump, I've hooked two up to the bleed pipes and joined them together, the third is on that inlet so I'm going to plug the third pipe with a large 20mm bolt and some tiger seal then clamp it in there :)

Not got a heater ready to go in it and may fit a leccy or derv one anyway!
