I've bought front and rear pagid discs and breaks (cheap and cheerful as I might be putting another axle on with better brakes next year). I've also bought corteco hub seals. A friend of the family is going to fit them as the garage phoned with a quote this aft and it was more than my wallet weighs. Anyway, I'm sure the garage said the price included drums, but when I spoke to europarts, they said you either have discs or drums (not both). Is that right?

Pads come in a box of four to do both front discs. Shoes for rear drums also come as a set of four.
Pads also come in a pack of four if you had rear discs.
Discs and drums can be got individualy but should really be changed on both sides of the same axle.

Sorry, I know I'm gonna come across as thick, but I just need the shopping list for tomorrow. So is it 2 x drums, 4 x shoes, 2 x front discs, 4 x pads for the front, and four hub seals? Obviously it looks like I'm taking 4 x pads back,

If you try a read that quickly it sounds like an extract from the cat in the hat! :)

2 x disc 1 x pad set plus retention kit
2 x drums 1x shoe set plus spring kit
4 hub seals

Yes , but there is potential for things to go wrong.
1 set of pads
1 set of shoes
Pair of discs
Pair of drums
4 seals.
If you ordered for example 4 X pads online you could possibly end up with 16 pads.

No I'm going into the trade counter. It's nice to come across as someone who knows what they're talking about. I told them that I was starting as an enthusiast and that I'd be buying quite a bit over the next ten years, so I got a trade account.

What’s wrong with adjusting the rear brakes ?
I think I mentioned in another post. In 2017 it failed on badly leaking rear hubs. Then it passed, then passed again a few weeks ago. However, my garage did an appraisal last week. He did give me a tour underneath. I think it's something to do with the hub seals being really perished, and they've been leaking for ages, but I don't know much more. I ended up just nodding my head, alternating between random vertical nods and horizontal nods, hoping the yes and no nods matched what he was saying, and the drawings in pencil he was doing. Said friend of family will sort it out. I just want all possible parts that could possibly be needed, in the boot waiting, cos any not used will be restocked and refunded.

Worth checking the oil filter and oil pressure switch in the engine bay, in piccy 2 it looks like you’ve got a nice leak from that area?
Scratch that! Too early in the morning for looking at photos and making sense of them! Leak is further forward than aforementioned areas, look elsewhere!

Cheers for that. The garage wasn't sure about where the second leak is. There is one on the sump so i'm getting that resealed with sealant.
