hello guys and gals i was doing a wee bit of tinkering this week and decided to clean the rotor arm and cap contacts.On further investigation noticed the electronic pick up and the bit that spins were very rusty.so i dismantled and cleaned up :doh: knowing i had a few overhaul manuals on pdf.:confused: none of them tell you the air gap between the pick up and the spinny bit they all say factory set you should not have to touch.althogh what i have set the gap to has the engine running ok i'd prefer to have it right. it's a 110 defender 1985 3.5 petrol and it is a lucas limb 35DLM8 dizzy. any help would be appreciated cheers Gerry...........................
