Hi I have a disco 4 that won’t start, the starter clicks/engages after plugging in it’s has came up with all 6 glow plugs open circuit and a fault for the glow plug controller module
Could this be causing my no starting ?

Two different issues, non starting and non cranking, if you have non cranking then glow plugs are not the issue.

It’s not cranking at all

Check the engine ground strap - as you've been advised, the two issues are separate, but may be down to the same cause.
Have you tried jump starting / charging the starter battery?

You need to start with the basics, battery condition, then connections as said above.
Is this a totally new fault. or have there been symptoms even if unrelated beforehand, ie slow cranking, not always locking/unlocking with the fob etc etc?

Hi yes I was helping a mate out and yeah he’s charging up the battery as when I first plugged in had all manor of faults I believe due to low battery

Had the exact same issue on the wife's D4 a couple of months ago. This earth strap sits directly between the battery box and the Webasto heater. Cleaned it up and the car burst into life. No prior symptoms or warnings that we were aware of, just one morning it wouldn't even attempt to crank. I assumed it was the battery as the weather had recently turned, put a charger on it and it was almost full. Found this, resolved and it's been good as gold since.

I like things that are free to check and this is one of those things.
