I am looking for some general information. I am gathering background information on this problem. I was hoping that some of the members could fill in some details.
So if I understand correctly, the Three amigos can be triggered by several problems with the ABS subsystem. A loose or failing ABS wheel sensor for example might trigger the fault and the vehicle woudl loose all ABS and TC. Does this condition require a trip to the dealers diagnostic computer, or can the problem "self heal". Does the ABS computer recovery method involve disconnecting the battery and praying.
What are some of the most common causes of this ABS fault? wheel sensors, shuttle valve, fuses, etc...
Is the potential problem consistent across the Disco I and Disco II abs computer subsystems? Does it happen on both models or just one?
I do not own a discovery. I am trying to gather information so I can provide a diagnostic solution to this problem.
