Hi
I have a 2003 Discovery Td5 ES which has immobilised itself and I am looking for any advice in what may have caused this or a permanent fix.
The AA got the vehicle going using the EKA code in which I then drove it to my local garage to investigate fearing that it wouldn't start again if I turned it off. They checked the BCU which recorded no fault code and they reset the system which then seemed to work fine on every start so they sent me on my way. I did a couple of journeys locking and unlocking in the usual way with the key fob (with new battery) and the vehicle started no problem. It then decided to not lock when I pulled up at home and also immobilised itself.
The only thing I did differently on the final journey was lock the car using the internal door locking button on the centre console which I always do when I have my young boys in the car. Could this be the fault or any other advice would be appreciated.

I have heard about a super lock function fitted to these vehicles, is it possible to deactivate this system if this is what is causing the fault?

Thank you
Sara
