Just got my 8th landy beggining of last December, really good nic for the price, Steering needed sorting, brakes replacing but apart from that its all good.I've been using it almost daily and theres been no problems.Seems like my job is to keep on top of things and do that maintainance on schedule. To be honest I cant believe how lucky i've been. Two previous Discos I had both succumbed to rot, but the chassis on this is excellent, just gotta keep it that way.
No real plans for facy lifts etc, I want to keep it standard as i can, a decent set of boots is on the list, and maybe get the diff locker working.
This is my first disco td5, the others were tdi's, I've had a series 11a, a series 3, and a classic range rover.Really miss the 11a, I suppose you always remember your first! The range rover V8 was pretty awesome to, but this td5, I'm loving it, really nice motor. The tech on it is a bit daunting, especially as I do my own mechanics, so no doubt I'll be harrasing you guys for loads of advice, but hey, I know a few things too.
Heres to us all rolling safe!

Looks good and obviously well cared for previously. Keep on top of the rust proofing and it’ll last well.

Looks nice, try some Owatrol on them plastic wheel arch extensions.

What will that do and which owatrol product ?

Thinking i could use them on my 110 arches

Good luck with the Disco looks nice

Accidentally found WD40 brings the arch extensions etc up pretty nice. My td5 is sfill going well, had a couple of issues but nothing serious, still absolutely loving my D2
