Had to get our 2018 DS towed to Landrover garage. No previous issues just refused to start. They ran diagnostics (fee of £175) which showed nothing. Now running extra inspection (fee of £375 for 3 hours work).

Is this normal??? Fees seem ridiculously high just to identify the issue. They appear to have no idea whats causing it.

Perhaps its ran out of fuel, that'll be the last thing they check after £1000 of checks.

Yup. Landrover garage!! And they still haven't been able to identify why it won't start. They have now asked LR technical assistance for advice!! I can't even drive it to another garage as it won't even start plus they say no courtesy car available :(

They charged £175 to do diagnostics and another 3 hour labour charge of £365 to do further investigations…they still have no clue.
 
I was told the other day that at the LR dealers the only way for the techs to make money is bonus is on the servicing, so the older/smarter techs are on the servicing for the dough, leaving the new guys to do the diagnostics!

I'd take it to someone who knows about cars, as the place you're using clearly doesn't have a clue. They seem to know how to empty your wallet, and nothing else.
