As the above post, why not, it depends on your skills if you can do it as the roof is welded on, not bolted as is the one fitted to the RRC.

i've been thinking the same as mine rotting around the alpine windows. Are they spot welded in the roof gutters?

Cant imagine them being seam welded..??? Interesting idea,will follow with interest

Spot welded I think but one piece at the A pillars and down to windscreen base.

You would definately want to replace as a whole piece as trying to match up edges on that thickness of steel would be like welding a baked bean can.
