Hello all,

Please could you just list all the leaks that you have had in your discoverys and where you found the leaks and how you cured them.

Many thanks

Rich M

N/side alpine window (due to corrosion under seal), n/side rear roof bar mount, both sunroofs

Only one leak for me which was where the lower dash support rail bolts to the inner wing on the passenger side I only found out because of the damp smell, but a dab of mastic around the bracket joint and bolt stoped that.

Both sunroofs - needed roof lining out, reseal sunroof plastic frame to roof with silkoflex sealant, repair and clean drain tubes and use flashband tape to rebond drain tube boxes to metal frame.

Not a drop since..

I have no sunroofs in mine ... ;) i have leaks from the underside.. i.e holes in my floor. :) but a leak thread would be good for the underside of the car??!!

That's a shame Ok what about the drips from the sunroof :beer2:

Leak from bolt hole next to lower bolt that holds bottom of dash to inner wing, drivers side. The tape covering the hole had come away ( old age!) exposing the hole. I assume water was running in from top windscreen seal ( which doesnt seal) The rubber along the top of the screen is loose and needs sealing with mastic. Common problem that Land Rover used to fix if the owners complained about water ingress there.
Nothing else......yet.

Don't worry about leaks

Throw the carpet away, cut the rubber sound deadening into pieces that can be removed to dry :D .

Front screen top of drivers a post, resealed full length of window seal to body along the top with gutter sealant no more problems.

Top of windscreen, seal came away, fixed with windscreen seal .. ;)

Underwear leaked when I didn't get to the loo quick enough, but you don't wanna hear the rest ... ;)

Hi,
I am new to this forum, but I have a disco 2 which leaks when it rains. A while ago I found some really good instructions on how to remove the headling, but I cant find them any more. Can anyone help me ???
