Good Afternoon,

I am in need of some advise / help!

Have a old Discovery 300 on the farm, this has not MOT and will never go on the road again however I am in the market for some tyres. I have seen before you can get some tractor / dumper tyres however can anyone advise where to get them from and what size is required as I want them to fit on my 245/70 R16 Rims.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Mark

You probably need to go to a tractor spares place and tell them what width and diameter rim you have, 245/70 is the tyre size and not the rim size, rim will be 16 inch diameter and something like 6 or 7 inches wide. If you are going bigger then obviously new tyre will still need to fit in the wheel arch and you may need to adjust the lock stops

Yes, sounds like an interesting idea. Back in the 1980s you used to see a few Land Rovers with 'dumpers' on, as people called them. I can't recommend a supplier, but I'd have thought somewhere that does spares for mini tractors or dumper trucks would be your best bet.Take a wheel in and see if they've got anything that will fit it. Post some pictures when you're done!

I'd this what you are looking to achieve but on a disco.

Unless you plan to do a lift at same time you are limited to something like this size

it shouldn't be a problem fitting to which ever rim you have 6 or 7 inch at the speeds etc that you will be traveling , also don't over inflate to maximise your flotation 20 to 25 psi should be plenty
you might manage this but need to fit and check clearance

you might even manage to squeeze thse in
