Have any of you replaced the chassis on a discovery 2 TD5 and what the costs were? I see the chassis are around £3500, just wondered if it was worth it if the rest of the truck is okay? Have any of you used a company that has undertook this work and the costs?. would love to do it myself but don't probably have the kit to do it. thanks in advance.

General consensus, is a good investment! So long as your able to look after the the bodywork! It will prolong the life of the car👍

As for doing it yourself? I would say go for it! You will learn a lot about the car! And how it's put together! Just make sure you have the room to do it! (There are a few videos of owners doing a chassis swap! In garage and outside their house!).

I'm looking at about 2 years time do mine!!??

Ps: have another 'runaround' whilst doing the swap!

Just remember....you have to lift the body a lot higher than you might think, to get the old chassis clear and the new one in place. Can be scary!!

If your doing it you might as well do it right and do everything that needs doing. This was Cambrian 4x4 Lampeter 2019, I supplied fully recon suspention bits for them to fit, fpr and a few other bits that are far easier to change with the body off. You will not have much change from £10,000 at todays prices.
